About J-Bird Ultralight Engines

J-Bird Ultralight Engines was founded in 1976 by Jim “J-Bird” Jaeger. At first, he created ultralights using go-cart engines, which didn't last long enough. However, Jim started developing his own engine packages with better performance and reliability. Jim is still an avid flyer and enjoys going to Oshkosh Airshow in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, which is the largest airshow in the world. He enjoys flying his Kasperwing ultralight aircraft.
